Life in Paris

Bercy Village – why it’s worth a visit

Bercy Village is technically classified as a shopping centre but the second you step onto the paved courtyard you’ll see that it’s quite different.

The White stone warehouses used to hold the largest wine market in the world and are now classed as historic monuments. They stored wine for over a century and are now home to a number of different shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. It’s the perfect mix of old and new.

While you’re there the cobbled streets will remind you of the authenticity of the area and the stone walls will encase you inside the small village. Stroll up and down, grab a drink and something to eat and enjoy the beautiful hanging lights through the winter months.

Not in the mood to go out this weekend? Bercy village is the perfect place to spend a quiet night out.
